About the artist
Astha Patel is a visual artist based in Vadodara, Gujarat. She draws inspiration from topics related to nature and ecology and memory. Mediums like oil on canvas and; tempera, gouache, and water colour on paper are mostly used by her for her practice.
Astha Patel lives and works in India. She completed her Master’s in Visual Arts degree from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara. She has done her Bachelor’s Degree from the same institution. Selected exhibitions include: Avianna, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara (2023); Breaking the Mould, Anant Art gallery, Delhi (2022); Contemporary Manifestations, Archer Art Gallery, Ahmedabad (2022); Surface Encounters and Strange beings, HH Art Spaces, Goa (2022).
