About the artist:
A self-taught artist, Ranjit Singh has an inborn and natural talent for the arts. After many years of working in a non-art background, he decided to leave his earlier job to devote all his time to painting. Greatly inspired by the Indian miniatures Saakhee/Stories from Sikh religion, portraits of Gods and the Sikh Gurus, Ranjit creates awe inspiring art. The artist has not received any formal education in the arts but it is remarkable to note that he doesn’t need to draw or sketch, but is able to paint on the canvas directly.
His work is part of many prestigious collections within India and overseas.
