Place operations of apparatus outside the range of genuine familiarity, and we have intersections between the temperament of anatomies.

The exhibition ‘Permanent Conference’ explores overlaps, interactions, and conjunctions between anatomies of man, machine, and nature. The classifications, as ingrained, show malleability in entities. Nuclei are likened to a motherboard, the heart as an engine, casing much like the cellular membrane, with language traveling as a script through systemically wired veins, carrying messages to a consciousness. The conscious having established knowledge showcases situations of reflexive reciprocation. A body, a sight, a trigger, a target. A weapon’s muzzle, an opening to let out a spearing utterance, much like the mouth of man or the Rosette Pitcher — a scream.

Suggesting acoustics, science journalist Bernard Dixon, arranges a synchrony between anatomy and music-making machines to say, “Stretch a skin over a wooden frame and you have a drum. Punch some finger holes in a reed or cane and you have a simple fife. Fix some pieces of gut between pegs on a board and you have an elementary guitar.” Interaction tends to amalgamation.
