The Magic of Gold
For this exhibition, Gallerie Nvya will enter into a dialogue with newly created works by some of the most renowned modern Indian artists that explore the power of gold and its magic. Gold has fascinated humankind since ancient times. We express ourselves through gold, and the way of using gold mirrors who we are: from religious offerings to golden altars; to celebratory significance of purity of gold in any auspicious occasion, to modern and contemporary art, that uses gold to point the connection between value and identity, creating an exciting encounter between cultural history and art, while offering new perspectives on gold.
